Letter from Erin
Cherish Yesterday, Dream Tomorrow, Live Today.
This motto could not ring more true! On June 14, 2006, at the NEBRASKALand Days Buffalo Bill Rodeo, I saw years of work & determination come to fruition when I was crowned Miss Rodeo Nebraska 2007. I rose to the top in three out of six categories - speech, personality, & appearance.
The youngest of four children, I am the 23 year old daughter of Marty & Linda Robbins, and I am proud to call Burwell, Nebraska home. I Graduated from the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture in Curtis, Nebraska with Associate of Applied Science Degrees in Veterinary Technology and Agribusiness Management. While in college, I was involved with the Intercollegiate Horse Show Team, Rodeo Team, Student Senate, Phi Theta Kappa national honor society, served as a Resident Assistant of the girls dorm, and received recognition on the Dean’s List and National Dean’s List.
I would like to continue building my career as a veterinary technician with future aspirations of expanding into veterinary office management, and raising registered quarter horses.
In my spare time, I enjoy cooking, dancing, singing, sewing, and working with animals, but my passion is horses. I am also active in my church & volunteer at a horse retirement home, East Point Acres Horspice.
As Miss Rodeo Nebraska I hope to increase the understanding of the animal athletes and their role in PRCA rodeo. They enjoy their work, which is why they excel in their events, as with any athlete! I feel extremely honored to be Miss Rodeo Nebraska - to be the ambassador for an American tradition such as rodeo takes my breath away!
I hope you enjoy your rodeo experience, and I hope to see you again down the road!
God Bless!
Erin Robbins
Miss Rodeo Nebraska 2007
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5,6
A special thank you to my family & friends who have helped make this dream a reality!
